What I've been doing since 1975:

Well...as you know from my last bio, I have partied a lot. I married Richard in 1978, had Stefanie in 1983, Richy in 1986. I finally got sober 10 years ago. It has really been so weird doing things sober. I have to admit that things aren't as fun sometimes, but at least I do remember what I did. I still make an a%! of myself but can't blame it on the booze. That's just me!!! Richard and I have been married 27 years as I said, We have had ups and downs but we really work good together and want the same things. Richard is a home inspector and we are going to go full time, he is so tired of blowing up everything at the mines (he works for an explosive company) ha! I am very proud of my kids. They have grown up very well. Stefanie works, goes to College and is on her on in Tempe. She is very responsible ( she gets that from her dad) and wants to be an elementary school teacher. Richy is in his first year at A.S.U. He got a scholarship so he tries not to work. He plays the tuba in the band. We have seen him a few times on TV.! He has always loved music (he gets that from me). We have been a foster family for about 9 years now. It is one of the best things I have ever done. We have had around 15 children in our home through the years, right now we have 3. It feels so good to know that you can help kids through a really hard time in their lives. Well, that's it, I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion. See ya in September. Dixie

Memories of high school:

High School is blurry, I started drinkin' and druggin' at an early age. I remember going to eighth grade at the high school. I was so scared I didn't sleep the night before. Cheryl and I always made sure we got all our classes together. When we were in the summer before sophomore year Nancy got her drivers license and she got Skippy's hand me down nova and we could go bomb town. My dad bought me a brand new orange Datsun and when I took it out my first Friday night as I turned 16, we totaled it out. Thank God none of us were hurt badly. About a year later my dad bought me that old blue maverick. That was good because he told me he would never buy me another car. I remember being Mrs. Roberts tennis asst. with Coke and Rosa. We would sit in the locker room and listen to "Lucy in the Sky" and a lot of Beatles. I remember listening to Pink Floyd up Grover. And listening to Grand Funk with Juan. Those we all such happy times! I remember having Mrs. Vanta, senior year for film, I remember that was weird because she was good friends with my sister. Johnny Sanchez, Woozie, Diane Holyoak, and I were in a group and we made a thriller movie in the alleys in Miami. I bet it was the first Blair Witch movie, ha! Too bad we didn't make some money. I wonder if anyone still has those films? We had to turn them in for a grade. I don't remember what grade we got. I remember one night, after we got off work at Nawfels, Rosa and I took her brother Georges car to bomb town, he found out and got all mad. He wouldn't let her take the car to work anymore. Working at Nawfels was really a fun time, but Cheryl and I moved to Guayos because they paid $1.25 plus tips, we didn't get tips at Nawfels. Well, that is a little I remember about High School although not a lot is about the classroom.
